The Parish of the Nativity of the Lord

Parish Pathways

Parish Pathways was formed in 2007 and its aim is to bring pastoral and sacramental care to the sick and housebound, including those in residential care, across the Parish.

Our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion aim to take Communion once a month to over 40 parishioners who are no longer able to attend church.

We also organise an annual Mass with Anointing of the Sick which is followed by a social gathering and refreshments.

At Christmas and Easter we remember sick and housebound parishioners with greeting cards that carry a personal message from the parish clergy.

We work closely with our SVP team.

If you or someone you know is unwell or housebound and would like to receive communion, please contact the Parish Office on 01737 761017

For someone who is on hospital, please contact the Catholic Hospital Chaplain 01293 431703

Thought for the week

From a life of celebrity and privilege, St Philip came to recognise that there could be nothing more important than his relationship with Christ in the community of the Church, and the love of his family, even though he was to be denied meeting with them when imprisoned in the Tower. His witness to the Catholic faith has brought him a different kind of celebrity – not one of worldly privilege, but that of a saint; not one of being served – but one of service.

May the patron of our Diocese intercede for us, as we seek to serve Christ in the mission He has given to us.

Bishop Richard Moth
