The Parish of the Nativity of the Lord

Co-Workers of Mother Teresa

Co-workers of Mother Teresa meet in Reigate on the second Monday of each month between 10.30 and 12 noon usually at someone’s home. This is a time for sharing ideas and experiences and a short time is spent in prayer for those in need.

Knitted blankets and children’s clothing are made and collected then shipped to the poorest countries. Food and other items are collected at different times to take to the Missionaries of Charity for distribution to destitute people in London.

Other charitable projects are also supported. Co-workers try to recognise God in the poor and to love God through prayer and works of charity.

Local contact via Parish Office at Holy Family Church.

Thought for the week

In the second reading of this Sunday, St John writes of the Christian vocation: “Loved by the Father, called to be God’s children living lives that will take us to see Him”. John invites us to think about the wonder of this calling, this journey, to think about the love that God bestows upon us. It is our life’s work to grow in our understanding and true appreciation of the depth and wonder of this gift. It is from this baptismal calling – for this journey begins there – that our very lives flow. This is the starting point for vocation, for discipleship
