Eucharistic Adoration: To assist Lenten observances there will be Eucharistic Adoration 7-8pm in St Joseph’s Church, Wednesdays  All welcome.

The Stations of the Cross during Lent represent events from Jesus’ passion and death.

St Teresa’s Church Mondays after 10am Mass

Holy Family Church After 10am Mass on Thursday

St Joseph’s Church Fridays at 7pm.

All welcome to any of the above.

Stations of the Cross 7pm this Friday (4th April) at St Joseph’s take place in the PNL Centre, and is being led by our Confirmation candidates with a mixture of words and drama. Everyone is welcome to come and pray this way of the cross with them and it is especially suitable for children so bring them along as well.

Deanery Reconciliation Service – Bishop Richard is leading a Lenten Service of Reconciliation in each deanery, to mark the Church’s Jubilee year of Hope. For our deanery this will take place at St Joseph’s Church on Thurs 10th April starting at 6.30pm with several visiting priests to celebrate the individual Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Men’s Way of the Cross: On 11th April join fellow men on this 5-6 hour night walk of the Stations of the Cross on Beachy Head starting at 9pm at Lady of Ransom Church, Eastbourne: for details and to register see: https://christthekingeastbourne.org/mens-way-of-the-cross/

The Big Lent Walk. Mary Barrett is joining the CAFOD 200km walk over the six weeks of Lent. She is raising funds for CAFOD and its work towards a better work for all. Mary’s fundraising page is: https://shorturl.at/wSzNP

Holy Thursday – Washing of feet, this ancient imitation of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet is a sign of serving those who were to serve others. If you offer some service in the parish and would like to volunteer your feet, or someone else’s (ask them first), please contact the parish office.

2025: Pilgrims of Hope As we continue this jubilee year, proclaimed by Pope Francis as a sacred time of renewal, reflection, and grace celebrated every 25 years, all Catholics are invited to embark on a journey of faith and transformation. Cafod are offering a reflective guide booklet and free copies are available at the back of the churches.

Parish Sunday Lunch, please note in your diaries that next month’s second Sunday is actually ‘Palm Sunday’ so the next parish lunch will be on Sunday 11th May.

Live Simply Award – Congratulations! Our parish has qualified for the Live Simply Award. On Wed, 12 March, the CAFOD assessor discussed with our Justice and Peace group and some parishioners how the parish has “lived simply, sustainably, and in solidarity” in the light of activities over the past two years. New youth group – volunteers needed! There are a number of young people in our Parish who have asked us to set up a youth group, which is wonderful. However, we need some adults to help us run it –could that be you? Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience, full training will be provided, and you will be amongst a team of people who have lots of different skills –just bring the gifts that God has given you. Parish Maintenance – are you an electrician/plumber/tradesperson and could offer some time to join a group for small works occasionally – if so contact the parish office.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is returning!, during the 11am Mass at St Joseph’s. To comply with diocesan safeguarding rules we must adhere to the appropriate adult/child ratios meaning limited numbers; each child must have a consent form pre-filled by their parent or guardian, and a registration of children attending is required for each session. We are starting the sessions on an ad hoc basis with volunteers who are all DBS checked, with hopes of increasing frequency when more volunteers come forward. We welcome anybody who would like to volunteer, please get in touch. A&B Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage: Applications to this year’s pilgrimage are now open. Travelling to Lourdes is a wonderful experience full of fun, companionship, faith, friendship and laughter. The pilgrimage takes place 28th July to 3rd August by air, or 27th July to 4th August by coach or jumbulance.
