Catenian Association

http://www.thecatenians.uk
The Catenian Association is an international body of Catholic men, mainly (but not exclusively) from the professions and the world of business. Bound together by their Catholicism, members seek to increase the faith through personal and collective example; to foster friendship amongst the members and their families; to provide spiritual, financial and moral support for those in difficulty or need; to provide support to the Catholic clergy; and to help young Catholics in their early careers. Founded in 1908, the Association now has about eleven thousand members in the UK, South Africa, Australia, Ireland, Hong Kong, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malta. Members belong to ‘Circles’, the Reigate circle being our local one. In addition to monthly meetings, sometimes followed by a dinner, each Circle has a range of social and spiritual activities, often involving other family members. Thought for the week

Let us ask for the grace of a Lent that leads us to greater attentiveness to God and to the least among us. Let us ask for the strength that comes from the type of fasting that also extends to our use of language, so that hurtful words may diminish and give way to a greater space for the voice of others. Let us strive to make our communities places where the cry of those who suffer finds welcome, and listening opens paths towards liberation.

Pope Leo XIV
